Elaine Rosenberg, Director
Elaine became certified in the spring of 2003 after becoming hooked almost immediately. She began
taking various Hatha yoga classes after giving birth to twins. "My hips were misaligned, and
I had chronic neck and shoulder pain," she explained. Although the yoga did help to relieve some of the pain,
she wasn't satisfied until she took her first Bikram class. "The heat, the intensity was what
was missing. I couldn't wait to come back."
After a long career in Retail Management, Elaine left her twin boys and husband for nine
weeks to attend the teacher training and has been teaching ever since.
"There is no end to the power of Bikram Yoga - it makes you stronger mentally and physically. You feel better, look better," Elaine says. She hopes to continue to share her enthusiasm and spread the
word about Bikram Yoga wherever she goes. |

Debby Nachmann
Debby, a Philadelphia native, has lived in D.C. since 1996, when she came to attend the George Washington University. In 2000, she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and began a career in public relations. Though she enjoyed working in public relations, she felt that it was not quite the right fit.
While working, Debby started taking Bikram Yoga classes and loved them instantly. She was surprised to find that she was hooked from the start, despite her general dislike of the heat. Debby decided to leave P.R. and search for a job she loved - no matter how far off the beaten path that search might take her.
Debby graduated from the Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in the spring of 2003 and has been teaching in studios around D.C. ever since. Debby feels that every class she teaches serves as confirmation that she made the right career decision and finally found the perfect fit. She loves watching her students grow and accomplish new feats. Besides being a Bikram teacher, Debby is working towards a Master's Degree in Exercise Science. In addition, Debby received her teacher certification from the Jimmy Barkan Advanced Teacher Training in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, in June 2005.

Alex Gombert
Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Alex grew up traveling around the world and the United States with her family until her college years. At that time, she moved to California permanently to pursue her undergraduate studies in International Policy, Political Science, and Italian at the University of California, Davis and the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
Bikram Yoga was a mental and physical challenge and journey she never expected. Yoga became a way to care for her body from the inside and out - physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Wanting to improve her own practice and help others to heal their own bodies through yoga, Alex went to Los Angeles to complete the Teacher Training in Fall 2003 and has been teaching Bikram Yoga since. |

Marsha White
Marsha White started practicing yoga at the age of 14 in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan. In 1996, Marsha was introduced to Bikram Yoga in Boca Raton, Florida and continued in L.A., practicing daily for four years with "Bikram" Choudhury, his wife Rajashree, and senior teacher Emmy Cleaves.
In November 2000, Marsha received her certification as a Bikram yoga instructor. She has traveled extensively to teach within the U.S. and, in 2001, she became the first certified instructor to teach in Israel. Marsha continues her education in yoga by attending various yoga practices, classes, and workshops, in addition to leading Yoga Retreats in Costa Rica, Maryland, and Virginia. In July 2010, she completed a month-long Yoga TT with Ana Forrest.
Marsha uses the spiritual peace and internal insight she has gained through her personal pursuit of yoga to guide her instruction. |

Yasmin Tuazon
Yasmin started practicing in 2002, mostly as an attempt to see more of her friend, Lara Rubin. After six months, she knew she wanted to teach. Two years later, she got around to it.
Yasmin is constantly inspired by the love, discipline and determination she sees in her students. She is also an actor and company member of Rorschach Theatre in D.C. She is a little obsessed with Bravo reality competitions right now (Project Runway is by far her favorite). |

Practicing for a little more then a year and completing 30, 60 and 101-day challenges, he committed to attend teacher training. Max Rosenberg
Max has a great fondness for yoga; if given the chance, he could talk about yoga all day, every day, non-stop. He enjoys bringing a detail-oriented approach to his classes; each posture has so many intricacies and details that they take an entire lifetime to perfect. His advice is to try and try and try and try! And to never give up!
Other than taking and teaching yoga, Max enjoys all other aspects of health and wellness. Food is the other thing that he could talk about forever, if given the chance. Max took the Fall 2010 Teaching Training in San Diego, California, after completing a degree in Kinesiology at University of Maryland in 2009. |

Lauren C. Mills
Lauren first started practicing yoga in New York on a fairly regular basis. Once she moved back to D.C. and discovered Bikram Yoga,
she was hooked. Lauren noticed so many improvements in her own life with the practice, she wanted to share her love and passion for the yoga with
others. She made a last-minute decision to go to teacher training in Fall 2010 and has been teaching ever since.
Outside the hot room, Lauren enjoys spending time in the kitchen, experimenting with raw foods and making organic nut butters.

Elisabeth Armour
Elisabeth became a certified Bikram teacher in Spring 2004 in Los Angeles and immediately returned to Paris to teach. She has also taught in India, London, Connecticut, and, since 2008, Washington, D.C. What Elisabeth loves most about yoga is how the physical intensity of the practice gives way to peace, in both the body and the mind. With firm roots in this physical tradition, she focuses on breath and stillness in her teaching and her personal practice – on finding the meditation within the movement. She has recently completed two advanced trainings in the 84 asanas (from which Bikram's 26 postures are derived) with Tony Sanchez in Mexico, in addition to an Ashtanga teacher training with David Swenson in Hong Kong.
Elisabeth has a deep interest in how nutrition and gastronomy affect the health of both the body and the mind, and she is returning to school to become a registered dietician. She also works at farmers' markets, further cultivating her love of food and cooking. |
